摘要: Mouse functional genomics is largely used to investigate relevant aspects of mammalian physiology and pathology. To which degree mouse models may offer accurate representations molecular events underlining human diseases such as cancer not yet fully established. Herein we compare gene expression signatures between a set cell lines (NCI-60 collection) cellular model oncogenic K-ras dependent transformation in order identify their closeness at the transcriptional level. The results our integrative comparative analysis show that both species compared normal cells or tissues process involves activation response. Furthermore, has good similarity with several particular containing Ras mutations. Moreover have similar genetic are associated same altered pathways (e.g. Spliceosome Proteasome) deregulation genes cyclin D1, AHSA1 HNRNPD) detected comparison versus tissues. In summary, report one first in-depth global profiles large collection counterparts. Taken together findings strong correlation pathway alteration responses two species, therefore validating use an appropriate tool cancer, indicating analysis, described here, offers useful approach cancer-specific signatures.
