摘要: Background Executive functioning (EF) is an important concept in cognitive psychology that has rarely been studied people with intellectual disabilities (IDs). The aim of this study was to examine the validity two test batteries and structure EF client group. Methods We administered children's version Behavioural Assessment Dysexecutive Syndrome (BADS-C) Cambridge Functioning (CEFA) for ID, 40 participants who attended day centres mild moderate learning [mean full-scale intelligence quotient (IQ) = 59]. BADS-C consists six subtests while CEFA contains eight (including executive memory) four memory subtests. IQ receptive language ability were also assessed. results subjected principal components analysis, regression analysis used relationship ensuing factors other variables. Results Scores on both sets tests only weakly related ability, even more IQ. substantially lower than predicted from published norms higher ranges, many scored zero three This potential floor effect less evident scores CEFA. Principal analyses produced one usable factor BADS-C, differed extent involvement working predominant sensory modality. A combined retained uniquely aspects memory. Conclusions suitable use disabilities, whereas at limit usability group. lower-than-expected observed may indicate known disability services be impaired comparable not services. seen IDs closely resembles a model general population received broad level support.
