Knock resistance and anti-knock with hydrocarbon fuels

摘要: Abstract On the basis of results studies by authors peroxidic products gas-phase oxidation a number hydrocarbons it is suggested that an increasing tendency to knock related increased for fuel form hydroperoxides and in particular dihydroperoxides on oxidation. Some problems relative resistances can be explained this basis. The high anti-knock effect lead tetraethyl then also if cylinder fog oxide produced, causing rapid heterogeneous decomposition peroxide intermediates, thus preventing branching due these compounds.
