摘要: Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) or 'cylindroma' is a malignant tumor that often occurs in the areas of head and neck, affecting secretory glands major minor salivary glands. The present study describes case patient who presented with posterior tongue lesion. 71-year-old female an asymptomatic volume growth left perceived 8 months prior, neoplastic cells positive for c-kit. A computed tomography neck showed asymmetry base tongue, which was enlarged portion. physical examination revealed nodule on ~3 cm diameter, while cervical lymph node chain had normal size consistency. Surgical exeresis lesion dissection were performed. Subsequent to surgical removal cancer adjuvant radiotherapy, excellent health, although follow-up remains progress. ACC, one most biologically destructive tumors locally aggressive gives rise distant metastases. place origin 3.4-17.1% cases. treatment ACC consists primary resection radiotherapy. To prevent risk metastasis, it necessary remove first echelon nodes monitor long-term follow-up.
