摘要: Abstract Logging operations can cause soil profile disturbance and compaction. Soil compaction change physical properties, which may reduce site productivity, increase erosion degrade catchment water quality. This study was undertaken to measure the effect of logging on properties 0–100 mm surface in Victorian Central Highlands, southeastern Australia. were measured snig tracks, log landings, general areas (disturbed not occupied by tracks or landings) undisturbed areas. Within areas, measurements made for three levels disturbance: litter disturbed, topsoil disturbed subsoil disturbed. The results indicated that significantly increased bulk density decreased organic carbon matter content, total porosity macroporosity over 72% coupe area. However, 35% area, landings densities macroporosities reached critical where tree growth could be affected. On these between 27 66%, 39 65% 58 88%. Saturated hydraulic conductivities runoff occur area (topsoil landings). this reduction saturated conductivity varied 60 95%.
