摘要: Insects generally respond to varieties of cues but little is known on the attraction Simulium damnosum sensu lato plants. The present study investigates s.l. Pterocarpus santalinoides along Osun River in South Western Nigeria. Two consented fly capturers were positioned under and a plant comparable size at Budepo Eleja both located river between October December, 2008. number flies caught P. was statistically higher than control sites with accounting for 63.86% 59.39% collected respectively (Osun Budepo, F= 218.4, P 0.05). results therefore demonstrate that identification compounds possibly responsible could be used develop lures trapping S. damnosum.
