摘要: This paper assesses comparable urban transport scenarios for China and India. The assessment methodology uses AIM/End-use model with a detailed characterization of technologies to analyze two India till the year 2050. first scenario assumes continuation enhancement, in both countries, policies under typical business-as-usual dynamics, like constructing metros, implementing national fuel economy standards, promoting alternate vehicles air quality standards. alternative, low carbon application, globally envisaged measures standards as well imposition price derived from global integrated modeling exercise aiming achieve 2 °C temperature stabilization target. results countries show that decarbonizing sector shall need wide array including economy, mix electricity supply. comparison provides important insights lessons their similarities differences choice options. can benefit China’s experiences it lags urbanization income. Modeling assessments nations contribute to, by aligning plans climate regime.
