Domestic constraints on regional cooperation: Explaining trade conflict in MERCOSUR

摘要: ABSTRACT This article seeks to account for the erratic patterns of conflict and cooperation observed in MERCOSUR since 1995. It argues that marked deterioration trade diplomatic relations between Argentina Brazil late 1990s early 2000s is best explained reference domestic political constraints on inter-state cooperation.
