摘要: Computers have increasingly found application in dentistry over the past 15 years, but at present there has been no investigation of Internet for distance diagnosis purposes oral medicine. As a consequence, objective this article was to determine acceptability patient and clinician distant common orofacial diseases using Internet. The study group comprised 20 patients who attended Oral Medicine unit Eastman Dental Institute Hospital, London, UK, management mucosal diseases. Digital images each patient's lesion were captured stored on personal computer later transmitted via site. Patients asked complete self-administered questionnaire detailing their opinion use an intra-oral camera clinicians compare contrast original images. majority procedure recording mouth very comfortable, happy view inside mouths, generally useful understanding clinical problem. often not able differentiate between image accurately diagnose problems 64% instances. results suggest that telediagnosis disease may be feasible prospect.
