摘要: Previous work on the effects of race political behaviors white Americans is beset with two problems. First, much effect has looked primarily at attitudes as opposed to action around a policy. Second, studies relationship between and policy have revolved issues for which it inherently difficult separate racial prejudice from conservative ideology. To address these problems, we examine willingness individuals write their member Congress in support non-racial cause, experimentally treat cues. We also present comparison but similar ‘specialized’ group, allows us distinguish concerns about specialized benefits objectionable conservatives. show that whites higher levels resentment are less likely act politically perceived benefiting ethnic minorities.
