摘要: Increasing evidence has been demonstrated that hypertension-initiated abnormal biomechanical stress is strongly associated with cardio-/cerebrovascular diseases e.g. atherosclerosis, stroke, and heart failure, which main cause of morbidity mortality. How the cells in cardiovascular system sense transduce extracellular physical stimuli into intracellular biochemical signals a crucial issue for understanding mechanisms disease development. Recently, collecting data derived from our other laboratories showed many kinds molecules such as receptors, ion channels, caveolin, G proteins, cell cytoskeleton, kinases transcriptional factors could serve mechanoceptors directly or indirectly response to mechanical stimulation implying activation represents non-specific manner. The sensed can be further sorted and/or modulated by processing both on surface network signaling pathways resulting sophisticated dynamic set cues enable responses. present review will summarise mechanotransduction vascular smooth muscle formulate new hypothesis, i.e. followed variety signal cascade activation. hypothesis provide us some clues exploring therapeutic targets disturbed stress-initiated hypertension atherosclerosis.
