摘要: Alveolar cleft repair is performed via bone grafting procedure to restore the dental arch continuity. A suitable substitute materials should possess osteoinductive and osteoconductive properties, promote new formation, along with a slowly resorbable scaffold that subsequently replaced functionally viable bone. Calcium phosphate biomaterials have long proved their efficacy as replacement materials. Dentin in several forms has also demonstrated its possibility be used graft material studies. The purpose of this study was evaluate regeneration pattern quantify formation after pre-established experimental alveolar clefts defects model rabbits using composite xenogenic dentin β-TCP comparison alone. Unilateral were created 16 New Zealand according previously described methodology. allowed 8 weeks healing period. 8 filled β-TCP, whereas β-TCP. Bone healed compared at intervention. Quantification analyzed micro-computed tomography (µCT) histomorphometric analysis. µCT analysis revealed dentin/β-TCP showed statistically higher volume fraction, mineral density percentage residual when An improved surgical handling noted. Composite putty expresses enhanced alone reconstruction rabbit defects.
