Absorption and bioavailability of calcium and magnesium salts of indomethacin from rectal suppositories.

摘要: In order to estimate the application rectum of calcium and magnesium salts indomethacin (IND), suppositories IND were prepared using macrogol Witepsol H-15 bases. The rectal administration these (Witepsol H-15) was compared with oral salts. hardness, melting point, liquefaction time similar between in vitro release IND-Mg from significantly faster than that IND, while IND-Ca slower. area under plasma drug concentration-time curve (AUC) after higher (p less 0.01). AUC value slightly those other suppositories, although levels early period lower, indicating slow absorption IND-Ca. multiple treatment gave no histological change mucosa. Therefore, present results suggested favourable for administration, high doses repeatedly.
