摘要: Abstract The exploration of emerging host organisms for the economic and efficient production protein microbicides against HIV is urgently needed in resource-poor areas worldwide. In this study, novel entry inhibitor candidate, griffithsin (GRFT), was investigated using Nicotiana benthamiana as expression platform based on a non-viral vector. To increase yield recombinant GRFT, RNA silencing defense mechanism N. abolished by three gene suppressors. A transient system used transferring GRFT gene, which encodes 122 amino acids, under control enhanced CaMV 35S promoter. presence correctly assembled transgenic leaves confirmed immunoglobulin-specific sandwich ELISA. data demonstrated that use suppressors allowed highest accumulation with 400 μg g−1 fresh weight, amount reduced to 287 μg g−1 after purification, representing recovery 71.75%. analysis also showed ability expressed bind glycoprotein 120 close purified from E. coli. Whole-cell assays our potently active HIV. This study provides first high-level HIV-1 illustrates robustness co-agroinfiltration improved through
