摘要: We derive the threshold conditions for instability of counterpropagating waves in a nonlinear medium with local photorefractive response against excitation transverse small-angle structures. These allow all important types diffraction from refractive-index reflection gratings and are not limited to case strict frequency degeneracy waves. study dependence crystal-thickness secondary wave emission angle on crystal parameters pump conditions. show that when intensities differ considerably, standing light structures is replaced by traveling Finally, we discuss applications theory experiments crystals LiNbO3 LiTaO3.
