摘要: A small-scale survey is used to investigate how widespread are 'alternative conceptions' of the ionic bond, as found in earlier interviews. Collectively these alternative conceptions described MOLECULAR FRAMEWORK, and contrasted with orthodox view, labelled ELECTROSTATIC FRAMEWORK. The showed that statements derived from FRAMEWORK were judged true by a large proportion learners surveyed. therefore useful model learners' about bonding. Teachers should be aware need contrast molecular electrostatic ideas when teaching this topic.
