摘要: Hispanic preschoolers in Miami, who are economically and culturally similar to the generalpopulation, were tested on receptive vocabulary English Spanish. scores, even for children from homes where some is spoken, more than one a haif standard deviations below mean. The Spanish mean, by contrast was 95, small, though significant difference norm. Factors other knowledge that might account lower scores exploredL These include different order of item difficulty, potentially inappropriate norming sample, underestimation bilingual inherent single-language measures.
