Speech Enhancement Using Auditory Phase Opponency Model

摘要: In this work we address the problem of single-channel speech enhancement when is corrupted by additive noise. The model presented here, called Modified Phase Opponency (MPO) model, based on auditory PO proposed Carney et. al., for detection tones in includes a physiologically realistic mechanism processing information neural discharge times and exploits frequency-dependent phase properties tuned filters periphery using cross-auditory-nerve-fiber coincidence extracting temporal cues. Initial evaluation MPO white noise at different SNRs shows that able to enhance spectral peaks while suppressing noise-only regions.
