摘要: "Man-made" or unconventional freshwater, like desalinated seawater reclaimed effluents, is increasingly introduced into regional water cycles in arid semi-arid countries. We show that the breakthrough of reverse osmosis-derived freshwater largely engineered cycle greater Tel Aviv region (Dan Region) has profoundly changed previous isotope fingerprints. This new component can be traced throughout system, from drinking supply, through sewage, treated and artificially recharged groundwater at largest Soil-Aquifer Treatment system Middle East (Shafdan) collecting all Dan sewage. The arrival type (desalinated seawater) 2007 its predominance since 2010 constitutes an unplanned, large-scale, long-term tracer test monitoring desalination-specific fingerprints aquifer Shafdan allowed to get insights on solute flow behavior systems. Our approach provides investigation tool for urban cycle, allowing estimating contribution diverse sources, environmental tracing method better constraining confinement systems with managed recharge.
