摘要: Curcumin, a curcuminoid compound of turmeric has been demonstrated to have anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Bleomycin (BLM) is an anti-cancer drug induced pulmonary fibrosis in human animals. This study was aimed investigate biological effects curcumin on bleomycin-induced mice (Mus musculus) through pathomorphological assessment. In this study, 16 ddy strain were divided into four groups, namely (i) control, subcutaneously (SC) injected with 100 µl sterilized aquadest dorsal skin, (ii) BLM group, SC 1 mg/ml (iii) Curcumin (CMN) intraperitoneally (IP) mg/kg body weight (BW) dissolved 0,5% carboxy methyl cellulose (CMC) SC, (iv) BLM+CMN IP BW CMN CMC. All treatments performed daily for weeks period. The lung samples collected fixed buffered neutral formalin (BNF) 10%. Histopathological evaluation hematoxylin-eosin (HE) Masson’s trichrome (MT) stains. results showed that treatment significantly increased area alveolar wall fraction as compared control. OIn the other hand, reduced treated BLM. conclusion, our may inhibit fibrogenesis BLM-induced fibrosis.
