摘要: While the definition of endemism is clear, there are multiple ways measuring endemism, and each has its own inherent biases. We discuss most frequently used recently developed measures. Ultimately all these measures relative (i to iii), care must be taken when making comparisons. Further, issues such as species concept (i), dependency on regional species-richness or distribution range sizes in whole pool (ii), special problems statistics, e.g. spatial autocorrelation (cf. Bruchmann. Plant Europe: habitat affinities endemic vascular plants. Dissertation, University Flensburg, Flensburg.
