摘要: This paper focuses on the competitive adsorption isotherms pertinent to an activated carbon adsorber treating contaminated drinking water. The water under consideration is a mixture of μg/L levels 1,1,2‐trichloroethane (TCEA), used as model toxic compound, and natural organic matter (NOM) from river presence NOM greatly reduces capacity TCEA. TCEA were affected by initial concentration both solutes; was only reduced maximum 5–10% because possibly result adsorption, which involves competition in fraction sites. A new model, based such assumption, described data fairly successfully; existing predictive models simulated poorly.
