摘要: Calcium influx in nonexcitable cells regulates such diverse processes as exocytosis, contraction, enzyme control, gene regulation, cell proliferation, and apoptosis. The dominant Ca2+ entry pathway these is the store-operated one, which governed by content of agonist-sensitive intracellular stores. Only recently has a current been described that activated store depletion. properties this new current, called release-activated (ICRAC), have investigated detail using patch-clamp technique. Despite intense research, nature signal couples to channels plasma membrane remained elusive. Although ICRAC appears be most effective widespread pathway, other currents also observed. channel not yet cloned, evidence continues accumulate Drosophila trp might encode channel. In review, we describe historical development field signaling discovery currents. We focus on electrophysiological prototype ICRAC, discuss regulatory mechanisms control it, finally consider recent advances toward identification molecular involved ubiquitous important pathway.
