摘要: The X-ray standing wave (XSW) technique is ideally suited to measure element-specific bonding distances of organic (sub)monolayers on metal single crystalline surfaces. These are crucial for the energy-level alignment and thus charge injection properties at these interfaces. We review experimentally determined several prototypical Even weakly interacting systems site-specific interactions can lead adsorption induced molecular distortions consequently additional intramolecular dipoles, which impact alignment. Guidelines tune heights by rational design discussed. For strongly system (charge transfer complex formation) molecules substrate play a pivotal role in process surface-induced aromatic stabilization, results metallic monolayers.
