Secular trends in sickness absence among Swedish patients with ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis.

摘要: The aim was to investigate whether secular trends in sickness absence (SA) were present patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA) receiving their diagnosis between 2002 2011. A repeated cross-sectional study design used. Patients identified the Skane Healthcare Register (SHR). washout period of 18 months applied. general population seeking health care used as a reference cohort. SA data from 2003 2012 obtained Swedish Social Insurance Agency converted into net days per year. Within sex, average number during calendar year following calculated plotted against together corresponding age-standardized population. Linear regression on aggregated data, within applied formally differences among referents. There 3173 992,502 Among men diagnosed AS, amount declined by 8.1 compared 2.4 referents (p = 0.01). PsA patients, 11.7 women 2.7 (p < 0.001) 7.6 1.9 (p < 0.001). Secular declining AS patients. Trends also referents, although not at all same magnitude.
