摘要: An Amazonian savanna in northern Brazil known as the Cerrado of Amapa is under imminent threat from poor land-use planning, expansion large-scale agriculture and other anthropogenic pressures. These savannas house a rich unique flora fauna, including endemic plants animals. However, area remains under-sampled for most taxa, better sampling may uncover new species. We estimate that only ~9.16% these habitats have any kind protection, legislative changes threaten to further weaken or remove this protection. Here we present status knowledge concerning biodiversity Amapa, its conservation status, main threats savanna. To secure future imperilled habitats, suggest urgent protected areas, well measures would promote less-damaging land uses support local population.
