摘要: Polyethers having molecular weights of about 1000 to 75,000 modified with alpha-olefin oxides 12 18 carbon atoms exhibit increased thickening efficiency in aqueous systems. About 1 20 percent by weight based upon the polyether is required, proportion oxide modifier varying inversely polyether. Modified polyethers, processes for preparation thickened systems, and compositions are disclosed. The agents invention particularly useful water or water-glycol mixtures which as hydraulic fluids.
