摘要: Tetracycline (TC) is one of the most commonly applied antibiotic and due to risk posed by antibiotic-resistant pathogens, need for treating these wastewater beyond question. Photocatalytic degradation TC in aqueous solution was studied using TiO2 based on natural zeolite (clinoptilolite, CP) under UV irradiation a batch reactor. For first time, order propose an accurate model photocatalytic light, central composite design response surface methodology employed assess individual interactive effects several classic parameters both TOC removal (mineralization). In analyze process, three significant variables pH, catalyst concentration, tetracycline concentration as process were studied. The results experiments fitted quadratic polynomial models. A maximum more than 77% achieved at optimum conditions (pH 5.9, 0.30 g L–1 8 mg L–1) within 60 irradiation. mineralization or oxidation profile, represented total organic carbon, decreased significantly during conditions, achieving value near 54% after 4 h. experimental values agreed with predicted ones, indicating suitability success optimizing photocatalysis. had high R2 coefficient (0.980) F-value, confirming that valid predict results. Moreover, adjusted very close another evidence goodness fit. Initial dosage are major factors affecting TiO2/CP.
