摘要: As recorded in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory, Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) could weaken the pharmacological effect or increase toxicity of Yuanhua (Genkwa Flos). However, theory has been suspected due to lack evidence. Here, we investigate whether Yuanhua’s diuretic effect, if so, which chemicals and targets may be involved. Results showed that exerted through down-regulating renal AQP 2, without electrolyte disturbances such as K+ loss observed side-effect most diuretics. had no but impair up-regulating 2. Glycyrrhetinic acid (GRA) up-regulate 2 counteract regulation Yuanhuacine (YHC) Ginkwanin (GKW) Yuanhua. Network pharmacology method suggested YHC, GKW GRA bind MEK1/FGFR1 protein influence ERK-MAPK pathway, was verified by Western blotting. This study supports TCM reminds more attention should paid safety efficacy problems induced improper combination between herbs. Moreover, promising diuretics with less side effects can developed from Medicines
