Youth and social support : a case study of middle class Jakarta youth

摘要: This research investigated the experience of middle class youth in Jakarta, Indonesia. The thesis is divided into two studies. Study One describes Australian trial research method. Two contains outcomes on Jakarta youth. Based an ecological contextual perspective and grounded theory, data was collected through semi-structured life history interviews. In first emic study, researcher trialed a series techniques with a sample from centers. The life history interview, combined availability centers, was seen as an efficient cost effective means accessing range suitable subjects. The then adapted method for use second or etic study with youth drug dependence unit club. For two, interviews were conducted months leading up to Indonesian General Election June 1999.
