摘要: Hematite nanoparticles (Fe2O3, HNPs) were synthesized to be used in washing machine wastewater treatment as a complex matrix. In order activate persulfate (PS), HNPs and Ultraviolet-C (UVC) radiation generate sulfate radicals due photocatalytic activity of higher energy input UVC. The effect operational parameters such pH, catalyst dose, PS concentration reaction time was investigated. results showed that PS/UV/HNPs could remove organic pollutants from wastewater. Based on the results, process can effectively chemical oxygen demand (COD) (77.5%) total carbon (TOC) (65.9%) at optimal conditions (pH = 7, PS = 8 mM, =1.0 g/L) within 150 min. COD TOC removals followed pseudo-first-order kinetic model with rate constants 0.0109 0.0074 min−1, respectively.
