Rhizobium germplasm resources at ICRISAT center

摘要: The ICRISAT Rhizobium culture collection represents rhizobia of the three mandate legumes: chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.), groundnut (Arachis hypogaea and pigeonpea [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.]. This catalog lists a total 819 strains which 259 are chickpea, 150 groundnut, 410 pigeonpea, from 17 countries. Sixty eight percent these were isolated at Center nodules obtained or collected six remaining 32 % contributions scientists in different countries other collections world. diverse climatic regions, soil types, growth rates laboratory conditions, effectiveness rating glasshouse studies. Information this has been assembled to encourage use relevant studies by scientific community.
