摘要: The inhibins are gonadal transforming growth factor β superfamily protein hormones that suppress pituitary follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) synthesis. Recently, betaglycan and inhibin binding (InhBP/p120, also known as the product of immunoglobulin gene 1 [IGSF1]) were identified candidate coreceptors, shedding light on molecular basis how may affect target cells. Activins, which structurally related to inhibins, act within stimulate FSH production. Betaglycan increases affinity for activin type IIA (ACVR2) receptor, thereby blocking signaling through this receptor. InhBP/p120 not directly bind but interact with IB ALK4, participate in B's antagonism signaling. To better understand vivo functions InhBP/p120, we characterized mRNAs mice generated mutant by targeting embryonic stem male female viable fertile. Moreover, they showed no alterations synthesis or secretion ovarian testicular function. These data contribute a growing body evidence indicating does play an essential role biology.
