摘要: Thunderclap headache is an uncommon type of headache, but recognition and diagnosis are important because the possibility a serious underlying brain disorder. In this chapter, primary thunderclap in relation to other disorders secondary, symptomatic discussed. Most importantly, subarachnoid hemorrhage should be excluded. The first investigation computed tomography (CT) scan, and, if CT scan negative, cerebrospinal fluid. Other vascular causes intracranial hemorrhage, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, cervical artery dissection, or reversible vasoconstriction syndrome. These detected by magnetic resonance imaging appropriate investigations. remaining patients with most likely represent disorder, including migraine, cough exertional associated sexual activity. Within group disorders, represents distinct clinical entity; it characterized sudden severe lasting from 1h up 10 days not attributed another pathogenesis still known, sympathetic nervous system may play role.
