摘要: Penninic basement is exposed in the Venediger nappe system of Tauern window. Three lithostratigraphic units are distinguished: (1) ophiolitic Stubach group which consists splinters derived from back-arc oceanic crust, (2) Habach-Storz dominated by volcanic protoliths and represents remnants an island arc probably formed on top (3) Zentralgneis composed large volumes Variscan granitoids. The experienced maturation during its evolution Late Proterozoic Early Palaeozoic. Carboniferous high-grade metamorphism granitoid formation reflect a collisional event collision- subduction-related magma generation. S-type, originally cordieritebearing, high-K granitoids, I-type medium-K granitoids form sequence decreasing age. Permian magmatism with tendency to A-type indicates intraplate setting signalizes end orogenic cycle. window shows progressive buildup continental crust long-lived subduction activity, starting intra-oceanic environment. overall picture reminiscent granite-greenstone belts.
