摘要: Abstract To understand sulfur (S)-accumulating systems of Andisols in Japanese forests, this study examined the contributions inorganic sulfate and organic S to accumulation. The profiles showed high total concentrations 540 2240 mg kg− 1. These resulted large pools S, ranging from 3370 8520 kg ha− 1 1 m depth. concentration determined using a method combining 0.1 M Na4P2O7 0.2 M acid ammonium oxalate extraction was higher than that by conventional solvent Ca(H2PO4)2. additional sulfate, likely dominated precipitate form sulfate-bearing minerals occluded short-range ordered minerals, ranged 0 850 mg kg− 1 accounted for 11% concentration. Values Melanic (Melanudands) were larger previously reported values other soil orders. A significant correlation found between mineral properties. results suggest type parent its weathering degree are important retaining sulfate. In studied soils, approximately half accumulated forms with ratio 55:45. 40% which Al-associated form. have ability consume acids sulfates stabilizing process dynamics.
