摘要: Mixed squamous cell and glandular papilloma (mixed papilloma) of the lung is an extremely rare neoplasm, with only 10 cases reported so far in English literature. We present a case study endobronchial mixed immunohistochemical etiological investigations. A 49-year-old male smoking history complained hemoptysis, presented mass closely adjacent to large vessels computed tomography findings, underwent lobectomy. The 3.0-cm sized polypoid tumor was histologically diagnosed as papilloma. Immunohistochemically, intracellular mucin positive for MUC5AC, which expressed tracheobronchial goblet cells. CAM5.2 CK19 were diffusely positive, indicating that originated from columnar epithelium by metaplasia. CEA CA19-9 focally positive. human papillomavirus (HPV) investigation situ hybridization using wide spectrum probe newly-developed PCR system did not detect any HPV infection. Including this detailed investigation, all HPV-negative, literature review including newly-reported indicated high frequency such cases. Endobronchial papillomas might have smoking-related etiology.
