摘要: Due to spatial and balancing considerations, the implementation of centrifugal pendulum absorbers (CPVA's) invariably requires that total absorber inertia be divided into several masses stationed about center rotation. To achieve designed-for performance, CPVA's are expected move in exact unison, since selection mass is made by assuming an equivalent single mass. In this paper, we determine conditions under which unison motion ofa system identical dynamically stable. This done for special case tautochronic subjected a purely harmonic torque. The stability criterion obtained asymptotic method exploits certain symmetries equations based on assumption moment much smaller than entire rotating system-an almost always satisfied practice. It expressed terms critical torque level proportional square root viscous damping individual absorbers. result verified numerical simulations near parameter conditions. A future paper will consider post-critical response system.
