摘要: This article presents an efficient digital computer procedure, along with the complete listing of associated program, which may be conveniently utilized for accurate solution a wide range practical eigenvalue problems. Important applications present work are envisaged in natural frequency analysis spinning structures discretized by finite element technique, and determination transfer function dynamic blocks control systems spacecraft utilizing gas jets or reaction wheels attitude control, as well spin-stabilized dual-spin-stabilized satellites. The validity Sturm sequence property is first established related matrix formulation involving Hermitian real symmetric, positive-definite matrices, both being usually highly banded configuration. A numerically stable algorithm based on method then developed fully exploits form matrices. The program written FORTRAN V JPL UNIVAC 1108 proves to extremely fast economical comparison other existing methods such analysis. Numerical results presented bent cantilever beam solar arrays SKYLAB, earth-orbiting space station proposed NASA.
