摘要: Background The patient-oriented research (POR) discourse has been criticized as being fragmented, lacking consistent terminology and having few evaluative studies. Our team will use rapid realist review methodology to generate broad, process-based program theory regarding how partnering patients with researchers in POR generates an impact within a health care system. Methods This protocol for involve multiple steps, including question development; preliminary search strategy study selection appraisal; data extraction, analysis synthesis; refinement. We be guided by the Realist Meta-narrative Evidence Syntheses: Evolving Standards (RAMESES) publication standards synthesis. Unlike traditional reviews, aims discover understand causal processes that exist complex environment, asking questions what works whom, under circumstances, why. multidisciplinary consists of patient partners, professionals, sciences librarian services researchers. Patient partners are full supporting development our guiding identifying community stakeholder groups disseminate findings. asked recommend literature sources, vet set terms, review, evaluate reflect on initial light their personal, lived expertise. Interpretation share results groups. also means peer-reviewed journal presentation at scientific conferences.
