摘要: Estimates of emissions indicate that if tropical grassland is rehabilitated by oil palm plantations, carbon fixation in plantation biomass and soil organic matter not only neutralises caused conversion, but also results the net removal about 135 Mg dioxide per hectare from atmosphere. In contrast, emission forest conversion clearly exceeds potential plantings. Forest on mineral soils to promote continued mono cropping causes a release approximately 650 equivalents hectare, while peat even higher due decomposition drained resulting oxide nitrous oxide. The one releases over 1,300 during first 25-year cycle growth. Depending depth, continuous augments with each additional at magnitude 800 hectare.
