摘要: AbstractLarge irrigation systems seem to be the logical add-on investment hydropower projects which are being planned in Mekong Basin. Economic evaluations of schemes date have not considered environmental costs and uncertainties about utilization. Comparisons between economic returns poverty alleviation benefits from investments other sectors also sparse. A benefit–cost analysis prospective Lao PDR considering all these factors found that farm-scale performed better than large-scale investments. The ratio head-count reduction were substantially lower for education, road construction agricultural research development.
