Synthesis of [Co(η5-C5H5)2][M(η5-C5H5)Cl3] salts (M = Ti or V): crystal structure of [Co(η5-C5H5)2][Ti(η5-C5H5)Cl3]

摘要: Abstract The salts, [Co(η5-C5H5)2][M(η5-C5H5)Cl3] (M = Ti or V), are readily prepared from the reaction between [Co(η5-C5H5)2] and [M(η5-C5H5)Cl3] in dichloromethane. crystal structure of [Co(η5-C5H5)2][Ti(η5-C5H5)Cl3] shows well-defined [Co(η5-C5H5)2]+ [Ti(η5-C5H5)Cl3]− moieties, despite fact that anion has been claimed to be unstable above 77 K. IR, NMR EPR spectroscopic data also discussed.
