摘要: Abstract Cleaning and disposal of illegal dumping at charitable collection points costs charities diverts funds from their programs. However, there is no published literature that attempts to better understand this problem. The current study assesses site-specific characteristics, community level indicators sociodemographic factors as predictors both charity stores bin in the metropolitan area Perth, Australia. Multiple regression analyses revealed higher levels were predicted by being open on Sundays, presence gates/fencing, bringing bins night, greater 5-year mobility lower education occupation area. analysis also suggests preventative measures have not necessarily been effective reducing amount stores. For bins, significant included private land ownership, if site shared with another charity, number site, days serviced per week, bin/s are located a park/reserve mobility. These results indicate combination characteristics play role type interventions which may be successful dumping. include improved maintenance, placement signage collaborations real estate agents.
