摘要: The objective of this study was to determine effective and economical dosages chemicals remove phosphorus (P) from liquid dairy manure, the corresponding chemical polymer treat manure in a full-scale case at Virginia Tech dairy, cost treatment land application P-rich sludge produced. Ferric chloride (FeCl3·6H2O), ferric sulfate (Fe2[SO4]3·5H2O), aluminum (AlCl3·6H2O), (Al2[SO4]3·13H2O, alum), five cationic polyacrylamides were evaluated varying using jar tests on approximately 0.87% 1.5% total solids (TS) concentration. Treated settled Imhoff cones volume measured; supernatant analyzed for P, solids, pH. FeCl3·6H2O, alum, Superfloc 4512 (an ultra-high molecular weight polyacrylamide) selected further testing. Polymer addition enhanced floc size settleability improved P removal. Jar combination provided more than 97% removal obtained one Tech's storage tanks showing potential high As study, tank containing 1,860 m3 with 1.2% TS 157 mg P/L treated batch 200 mg/L AlCl3 as Al 100 polymer. Approximately 84% sequestered sludge. A portion (600 m3) transported off farm application. treating transporting rich $4.09/m3 ($0.02/gal). This demonstrated feasibility large volumes P-based nutrient management dairy.
