摘要: The text to speech translation of mathematical expressions has always been a challenging problem, which not diminished by more and content moving the web. In this paper we present our efforts making formulas first class citizen in ChromeVox, general screen reader for Chrome browser. We exploit ChromeVox's ability handle alternative representations DOM elements given variety web formats into uniform utterances. format flexible adaptable rules that support customization aural rendering mathematics introduce specially semantically enriched representation allows natural reading experience. To further aid understanding math idea letting users engage with on different levels granularity enable interactive exploration complex formulas.
