摘要: We report here detailed in situ studies of nucleation and growth Au on CdSe/CdS nanorods using synchrotron SAXS technique time-resolved spectroscopy. examine structural optical properties CdSe/CdS/Au heterostructures formed under UV illumination. compare the results for with control experiments exposed to gold precursor conditions when no such are (no illumination). Our data indicate similar photoluminescence (PL) quenching PL decay profiles both types samples. Via transient absorption PL, we show that behavior is consistent rapid (faster than 3 ps) hole trapping by gold–sulfur sites at surface semiconductor nanoparticles. This dominant process was overlooked previous end-point semiconductor/metal heterostructures.
