摘要: We present a Chandra study of the emission-weighted metal abundances in 28 early-type galaxies, spanning ~3 orders magnitude X-ray luminosity (LX). report constraints for Fe, O, Ne, Mg, Si, S, and Ni. find no evidence very subsolar Fe abundance (ZFe) historically reported, confirming trend recent observations bright galaxies groups, nor do we any correlation between ZFe luminosity. Excepting one case, ISM is single-phase, indicating that multitemperature fits found with ASCA reflected temperature gradients resolve Chandra. (ISM) substantially lower than stellar metallicity estimated from simple population models. In general, these quantities are similar, which inconsistent galactic wind models hierarchical chemical enrichment simulations. Our ratio imply 66% ± 11% was produced SNe Ia, similar to solar neighborhood, histories elliptical Milky Way. Although values sensitive considerable systematic uncertainty supernova yields, they agreement more massive systems. This indicates homology process operating cluster scales low-to-intermediate-LX galaxies. The data uniformly exhibit low ZO/ZMg ratios, have been reported some clusters, standard SN II yield calculations may indicate an additional source enrichment, such as Population III hypernovae.
