摘要: Environmentally sensitive, degradable microgels based on poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (pNIPA) cross-linked with the diacryloyl derivative of cystine (BISS) were synthesized by applying surfactant-free emulsion polymerization. pNIPA contributed sensitivity to temperature and cross-linker made them sensitive pH. The morphology was investigated using scanning transmission electron microscopies (SEM TEM). gels formed spherical particles a narrow size distribution. influence temperature, pH ionic strength swelling behavior stability new various contents BISS (0, 1 3%) dynamic light scattering (DLS). It found that 3% content amino acid highly stable over wide range temperatures, values strengths, including physiological conditions (pH = 7.4, IS 0.15 M, 37 °C). reduction-induced degradation these 0.01 M solution dithiothreitol (DTT) or glutathione (GSH) studied means SEM TEM; obtained micrographs showed destruction microgel particles. containing could be loaded doxorubicin (DOX) employing electrostatic interactions between DOX amine group ionized carboxyl from BISS. A significant increase in cumulative release observed after changing characteristic blood (∼7.4) existing affected cells (∼5.0) presence GSH (CGSH ∼ 10 mM). cytotoxicity tests proved are interesting as useful carriers directed drug delivery systems.
