摘要: The CTF3 provides a high current (28 A) frequency (12 GHz) electron beam, which is used to generate power radiofrequency pulses at 12 GHz by decelerating the electrons in resonant structures. A Test Beam Line (TBL) currently being built order prove efficiency and reliability of RF production with lowest level particle losses. As beam propagates along line, its energy spread grows up 60%. For instrumentation, this unusual characteristic implies development new innovative techniques. One most important tasks measure fast time resolution. detector must be able detect transient due loading structures (nanosecond) but should also capable bunch-to-bunch fluctuations GHz).
